In the presence of the President of the Republic, the new unified headquarters of the Italian intelligence was inaugurated on 6 May. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Council of Ministers, the Director General of the DIS Gennaro Vecchione, the Deputy Director General of the DIS Enrico Savio, and the Chief Executive Officer of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Fabrizio Palermo.
Also present were the Director of AISE Luciano Carta, the Director of AISI Mario Parente, and the Deputy Directors of the intelligence community.
